Luiz Claudio is a lawyer specialized in Business Law with prominent work in the Energy sector and Professor of Business Law at Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro since 1999, as well as in several graduate courses. He was the CEO of the Brazilian subsidiary of the Spanish multinational company Myrurgia S.A. (1990-1996), and partner at Motta, Fernandes Rocha Advogados (1998–2010). He was also Chief Legal Officer at Grupo Light, working in the sectors of generation, transmission, and distribution of electricity (2006–2010). He also acted as Chief Legal Officer and Legal Counsel of AMCHAM-RJ (2014–2017), now Chair of the Legal Committee of AMCHAM-RJ since 2018.
