Historical agreement in Santa Catarina calls for attention to the delay in the creation of the CGE

In early February, the State of Santa Catarina signed its first leniency agreement with a large company in the area of Big Data, Analytics and Artificial Intelligence, in a negotiation coordinated by the State Comptroller-General's Office (CGE), created only in 2019. The agreement provides for the company to return the amount of R$ 50.6 million to the public coffers.

Based on this case, our partner Fabio Lucato, specialized in Compliance and Investigations, published an article on the Migalhas portal reflecting on the delay in the creation of the CGE in Santa Catarina, since this is an essential body for the fight against corruption, and the anti-corruption law exists since 2013.
