In the early hours of Thursday, the Chamber of Deputies approved the project that determines the return of pregnant women to face-to-face work in some cases. With the new legislation, pregnant women shall return to face-to-face work when they are fully vaccinated according to the Covid-19 vaccination schedule, and if they choose not to be immunized, they will need to sign a liability agreement to return to face-to-face work. The text makes the law of May 2021 more flexible, which stipulated that pregnant women should remain isolated from face-to-face work activities, without prejudice to their pay, during the pandemic. After approval in the Congress, the project will be submitted to be sanctioned by the President..

Therefore, she agrees that, if the project is approved, it will be fair for entrepreneurs who, today, still need to pay the salaries of pregnant employees who are unable to carry out their activities remotely. Michelle also points out that this being approved will also be positive for pregnant women and future pregnant women, since many of them have postponed their pregnancy plans precisely because of insecurity about the job market.
