Our lawyer specialized in Labor Law, Michelle Pimenta, wrote an article for the newspaper O Globo about the new normal, considering the new trends in forms of work and the flexible benefits offered to workers in this scenario.
Michelle comments, based on a survey, that Brazilian employees have had a preference for the hybrid work model, and this new format requires innovations in labor rights, such as, for example, replacing fixed benefits with flexible benefits, as a way to adapt to the remote model.
Michelle points out that these new measures are not provided for by law, but can be agreed upon in a collective bargaining agreement, an instrument signed between the company and the union of the category. She also warns that the benefits cannot be reduced in relation to either values or types of use.
